Youth Organization teams up with local partners to create vegetable garden at Westmoreland Park.

Fired Up for Youth, Inc. has partnered with Parks & Recreation, Cornell Cooperative, and The Master Gardeners program to plant a vegetable garden in Westmoreland Park. The garden is stocked with tomatoes, marigolds, basil, hot peppers, collard greens, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, sweet peppers, bell peppers, okra, basil, and cilantro! The students in the program will maintain the garden, teach the youth at the Westmoreland community center about gardening, and host a free fresh vegetable event for the neighborhood surrounding the garden!
